Pretty little Minuet, fourth child and first daughter of an absent father and a vanished mother. A foster child, she bounced from home to home, all of them inattentive and unconcerned. Arrested four times in her early teens, she had a single conviction for disorderly conduct - spent two days in county, then she got bored. That was the day she discovered walls couldn't hold her, and the day everything in her life changed.

She met Lusa Chamberlain fresh off the plane, her first night in Seattle; he found her, she says, he knew she was coming. With little to pin her to her checkered past, she fell in with the then-Castellan, and was inducted to the Council of Ros eight months later. Her service has been as checkered as her childhood, filled with incident and conflict; much but not all of it precipitated by her personality. Magic and moxie: a lot of the former, and more yet of the latter.

preternatural repertoire

  • step sideways Minuet can step sideways and between as effortlessly as breathing, bridging distances instantaneously and shifting through obstacles as though they weren't there. Damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead.
  • second sight She doesn't like it at all, but frequently useful; Minuet reads auras naturally. She can tell when men are lying, read emotions, and even read the difference between mortal and preternatural at a glance.
  • song sidereal There's always been magic in music; for Minuet it is a bit more present and potent. When she wishes, she can sing dramatic changes in the world around her, weaving a new reality, new emotions, and new intentions through song and story.
